What Don't I Get

Week 5: Wikis

Ok, I seem to have a basic understanding of what a wiki is and how it can be used, at least in simple terms. I thought I was doing alright, but I don't seem to see the big picure. Looking at the provided websites, I am able to clumsily navigate around them, but am not sure why I even want to. As of yet, I am not sure what wikis would be used for in our libraries and exactly why we would want to use them. I'm not sure what information we would want others to have access to change. I'll keep working on this one to see if I can find the light.

Hi Risa,
One of the examples that Stephanie Wentz had was to use a wiki for a llibrary policy and procedure manual; many people could update it when needed. You could have links to the different parts of the manual. Does that help?
